About the Speaker
Ryan Duffy has been the Executive Director of the Holland Land Office Museum in Batavia, NY since 2017. He is the author of a bi-weekly local history article in the Batavia Daily News; the creator of the museum’s Artifact Video series, a weekly YouTube video highlighting various artifacts; and an article in Western New York Heritage Magazine on the Richmond Mansion in Batavia. He has also been a guest lecturer for various historical agencies around Western New York.
Ryan Duffy is graduate of St. Bonaventure University and received a M.A. in History from Bowling Green State University with a Certificate in Public History. He also completed coursework in Museum Studies at Buffalo State College. He previously worked as a docent at the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site and at Canalside. He is also a member of the City of Batavia’s Historic Preservation Commission.
