Lincoln’s Birthday Celebration

02/13 @ 12:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Come to The Buffalo History Museum to celebrate the birthday of America’s 16th president, Abraham Lincoln. In 1874, local Buffalonian Julius Francis held the first public celebration of Lincoln’s birthday anywhere in the United States: a tradition we continue to this day. The Museum will have reenactors, a rifle salute, and live Civil War-era music provided by the Buffalo Civil War Roundtable. Every birthday needs a cake, and the Museum will have one available for guests to share! The festivities start at 12pm and will last until around 2:30pm.

We look forward to seeing you there and remember, Admission is Pay What You Wish!

Due to the COVID-19, events may be canceled or rescheduled. Before attending, please check the Museum’s website Events page (https://buffalohistory.org/events-list/) to confirm the status of an event.
