Seneca Indian Park Panel Discussion

08/07/2024 @ 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Join us for an enlightening panel discussion on Seneca Indian Park, a hidden gem in South Buffalo with a profound history. This park, with archaeological finds dating back to the 1500s, holds the remains of Indigenous ancestors. It stands as one of the last remnants of Haudenosaunee presence on the Buffalo Creek Reservation and serves as a reminder of the significant role that the Senecas played in the history of Buffalo. Our panel will explore how this significant cultural site transitioned from a cemetery to a city park, and why it is crucial to preserve and raise awareness about its heritage.
